Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TuringDuel ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
2. Description of the Service
TuringDuel is an interactive word association game where human players compete against Artificial Intelligence (AI) opponents. Each round, both the human and AI submit a word in response to a prompt. A separate AI model, acting as judge, evaluates both submissions and determines which response appears more "human." The game is inspired by the Turing Test and serves as both entertainment and a research project exploring human-AI interaction.
The Service utilizes third-party AI providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, DeepSeek, and others) to generate AI opponent responses and judge decisions. The specific models used may change over time as we optimize the gameplay experience.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features like game history, statistics, and leaderboard placement, you must create an account using either an email address or third-party authentication (such as Google Sign-In).
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account.
